Create Your Projector Account
The best way to create and manage your Projector account is on our web site at projectorstream.com from your computer (Chrome Internet browser is preferred). Getting started is simple: you only need to provide your name, e-mail, and accept our terms of service. You do not need to pay, select a service package, or provide a credit card to create an account. Once registered, you can start viewing other users’ Projectors if you are invited or if you request access; after they grant permission, just log into your account on your computer to accept the invite. From there, you can install the Projector TV Streaming app on your Smart TV (Apple TV, ROKU, Amazon Fire, and Google TV) and select the Projector you wish to view. If you want to start uploading and creating your own streaming service, you will need to purchase a subscription.
For only $79.99 a year, you can upload as many videos and photos as you wish, all safe and secure in the cloud. After you have uploaded your content, you can easily share your Projector with others and name a successor to ensure your family memories are preserved forever. To view your own videos, simply log into the Smart TV app with your credentials and enjoy your home movie collection on the big screen.

Video & Viewing Guide
Video Tutorials
Projector has a YouTube channel complete with Tutorial videos and other important content to help you create that “Netflix” viewing experience for your family’s home movies
Projector Video Tutorials:
Tutorial #1: Uploading Videos
Tutorial #2: Organizing Your Projector
Tutorial #3: Download Projector on Your Smart TV (also see HELP CENTER Article on each Smart TV Streaming Device)
Tutorial #4: Sharing with Family and Friends
Tutorial #5: Editing Existing Content (Title, Category’s etc.)
Choose a Projector to View
When you log into the streaming service on your TV, the first screen will ask which Projector you wish to view. You can select “View My Projector” for your own content or choose a Projector from someone who has granted you access.
We highly recommend selecting the “Tutorials” Projector first. It contains short videos explaining how to upload content, share with others, and name successors. You can remove the Tutorials Projector or any other shared view at any time via the “Manage Projectors” button at the bottom of the screen.
ROKU Smart TV App Known Trouble Issues
ROKU Smart TV Streaming devices are a great and economical solution to stream TV, including Projector. However, ROKU devices have two issues that you may experience.
ISSUE 1: 10 SECOND SKIP: If your video will not play or if the first ten seconds of your video repeats then starts playing the video in its entirety, the issue appears to be ROKU’s ability to play hi res video outputs like 4K and 1080P formats. This issue is especially apparent if the original video was created using popular video editing software like Apple’s iMovie and Final Cut Pro. To resolve this issue, we suggest saving your video at 720P. The quality of the video is still great and it resolves this 10 second skip at the beginning of your video. This problem only exists on the ROKU platform. We continue to work with ROKU to resolve.
ISSUE 2: SIDEWAYS PHOTOS. Sometimes you may notice when playing a photo album slideshow that the ROKU will flip a random photo 90 or 180 degrees, making the photo appear sideways or upside down. It appears that this is a known ROKU issue. Not all photos will do this, just a few in each slide show. For resolution, we recommend deleting those photos ROKU flips then uploading them again. This problem only exists on the ROKU platform. We have notified ROKU of this issue and await resolution.
ISSUE 3: SCREENSAVER. ROKU will not stop going into its screensaver mode when playing a photo album slideshow on Projector. This is a ROKU issue where they will not recognize a slide show (as it does recognize when a video is playing). To stop your ROKU from going into screensaver mode while playing a photo album slideshow, you must change the settings in your ROKU device. Follow these instructions:
- Press Home on your Roku remote.
- Scroll and select Settings.
- Select Theme to open the Theme menu.
- Select Screensavers.
- Select Screensaver Start Time: Change to “Disable screensaver” or perhaps try “30 minutes”
- ISSUE 4: HEIC PHOTO’S (Use .jpg and .png). HEIC is a proprietary Apple format for photo images. While ROKU has had difficulty playing HEIC files when playing a Photo Album Slideshows using Projector, we are currently working on a resolution. In the interim, we advise for this reason to use.jpg or .png formats for your uploaded photo’s until this issue is resolved (in the near future).

To locate the Content Dashboard, after successfully logging into your account, go to the top right corner and select your account profile icon. From there is a pull down menu and you will see the Content Dashboard listed (see image).
Once in the Dashboard, you will see a list of controls on the left hand side. Most are self explanatory to allow you to manage your Content, the Layout of your Projector, manage your Viewers (meaning those you have granted access to view all or some of your content), and your basic account Settings.

Is Projector a Cloud Storage Platform
Projector is the ultimate viewing and sharing platform – however it is only one step in your full Memories Archiving Solution. We always recommend having all your media files, photos, and videos backed-up in other physical and cloud locations.
